My big art crush for this painter-sculptor-performer who works close to death and subconscience concepts. A tribute to self-destruction to reach a higher level of ourselves, an agony genius, really, this exposition I went to see with my bestfriend, XXVII, in Nantes, amazed me ! :) The video is amazing too. He does great paintings taking pictures of its performances, printing them on metal, then painting on it !
Things are in progress, on professionnal and musical plan. It's great to feel the taste of life, a smile painted on the face, even if my eyes show the lack of sleep I have =) I realise I really lead a double life. My graphic work is really different of my musical life even if twice fits together in certain ways... There is an equilibrium to get, realities and priorities are different in each of them. It's an art to exactly place the wires of our lives to find our fragile equilibrium. I like this.

About wires, there's a marionettist that I'd like to speak about, spreading sounds and tortured poetries, POLICHINEL. Since I discovered his projet, I always kept a look on the work of this artist I really appreciate. We have some similar points, that's a fact : both projects are solo ones at the beginning, we have both visual universe (he's a photographer), and by looking at his line-up, I think we both are looking for not ordinary line-up. (things probably keep on evolving for Simplyd4rk about this in years to come, but that's not the point of this article :D). I really hate all these people tattoing / piercing themselves just to behave like their neighboors. Fucking copy / paste / classify society. Piercing, Tattoes, it should have a sense for everyone, not being a free act just made to look like what's cool or not - . - Well, I won't debate about it, just give my opinion.
PIERCING
I've no tattoes, but I have some piercings. I did all of them after thinking about it. As I dress myself, ideas for piercings came from personnal drawings, private stories, special desires, etc.. What I like in piercing, is this particular moment when the needle go through your skin. It's pure adrenalyn moment ! Moreover, I assimilate piercings as pages of our own story. You can take off the piercings you don't want anymore, to replace them by new ones which are then getting a more personnal dimension : it's neither a gift, nor a choice made with the agreement of someone else, but yours. By the past, I did this. I wore pearcings and took'em off before replace it by new ones, or modificated some old (like with a stretch). Piercing is really something I like, it's a bit like tattoes, a part of your life, of you desires, that you would like to mark.
TATTOOES
As I told you, I don't have any tattoo. And I won't ever understand most of teenage who are making full-arm tattoes. Most are just little sheeps only able to do like their idol, it's ridiculous. How would they assume these graphics on their skin when they'll be 25, 30, 40 years old ? I don't have any tattoo, yeap, but however, I thought and drew out the main theme for my future right tattoed arm. It will be dedicated to my own world, this general-purpose universe called Undead Rockstrial. I think I would stop ink to above my wrist, not totally full arm. And it would take time, cause I want to describe an evolution of my universe with this arm. Then, for one year, I draw only shoulder graphics, the beginning, and elbow, the center of this world. Nothing is randomly left, I think about everything, and I will choose the tattoo artist with a lot of care ! I don't care the time I would have to wait, only results and original thoughts are important. To me, tattoo is a flesh calendar.

STREET FIGHTER IV
I finally got it yesterday, bought on amazon.uk (less expansive than if I had buy it in France). Then, I could make my geek on it during nights ha ha :) It reminds me the glorious time of SNES ! What an amazing time, I was young, and just began to have interest for vampirism.. Well, I guess that the kid I was by the past made the man I am today.. :)
TRAININGS ARE BACK !
Three hours training in the grave with my undead bro, Scread Seventh ! It was so cool. New songs are kick ass, and nothing's better for my health to sing and scream for hours... even if it's a lot of work ! =)
A new movie by Park Chan-wook, realisator of the masterpiece "Old Boy", with this time, a vampires story ! I can't wait to watch it ! It seems really different of what we use to see in this genre in Occident. Meow * 0 * !!! I worked a lot today, between new tshirt graphics & music. New live tracks are in progress, soon final mixed for our next shows (in Bordeaux and Paris). About the album, no date for the moment, but I hope to release it at the end of the year * crossing fingers *. Stay simplyd4rknetized to UNDEAD ROCKSTRIAL, and sign in The Grave !

I spent few times today on Ableton Live. It's a live-oriented music software I bought few month ago. With album and videoclip I didn't have that time to spend some on it and I'm really enthusiastic to work more with cuz it's an amazing soft ! I planned to buy the AKAI APC40 for my birthday, now there's no doubt I'll do this ! I let you check a video I found about the APC40 in action. If you can, try Ableton Live, it's really an interesting soft you could play with for hours without getting bored ! :)
