I got the strange taste of a bloody mary on my tongue. A tired body, a remix of a BMTH's song in background, three hours spent to train today without Scread (he's away for 2 weeks), not alone cuz joined by a friend who just came back from a trip around the world, well.. good day.
BETTER VOCALS
I lastly worked a lot on my vocals. It gets powerful, and I don't destroy my throat anymore, thanks to Allan for his great 40mn lesson, it changed my life ! It's amazing what we use to listen to about singers. We have to drink this or that, not to eat this or that, blablabla. Bullshits. If you're able to place right your voice inside your throat, then everything's possible. This is just technical. And what I lack before, it's now over. I'm so happy of it (cuz screaming in a bad technical way, it's death of art... and vocals !!!!! Worst case possible being operation, like a lot in screamo scene have to do). A good teacher can change your singer life in only 40mn, the time to show you what you're doing good and / or wrong as much in clean singin thant scream parts =) And you know what is fucking good ? I learn quickly ^ ^. I just can't wait to get back on stage in the end of october. PICTURES & FRIENDS...
On the picture, Swan (singer of Blackrain) and myself, the day after a big drunk party at Hellfest (metal festival in Clisson, FRANCE), sitting in front of the MONSTER stand, the only place where there was a bit of dark (cuz Hellfest is in summer, and sun is hard to live !). Well dudes, you noticed that... faces of the morning ! :D I miss my friends, really.. but they're all in other cities, far from mine... A special thought then to Bárbara, Swan, Heinrich, Lolita, Low, Guillaume, Jérôme, Kazu, XXVII, Mel and Ayrton, Djouls, Laura, Noemy, my sista, Leeloo, Dylan, Tsurai, Kernel, Max 2, and Iann. Can't wait for the gigs to see back some of them !!!! =)

TRAINING ! TRAINING ! TRAINING !
A little drawing made tonight ! :) As each friday, I just can't wait to train ! I make roll keys between my fingers, can't wait to plug my cables, mic and pc on the mix table of the place where we actually train... This is not like gigs, but it's a good time to prepare them ! And this summer, we worked a lot for the upcoming year, so you could see how we evolved in the good way ! :) Singing, screaming, drumming, composing, etc.. everything has been improved ! A SLEEPLESS BUT CREATIVE NIGHT
I know it, tonight I gonna torture switches and sounds, gonna end the brain totally upside down because of a lack of sleep.. but whatever, I need to finalise a song ! :D Moreover, I'm back to my first loves, to make some noise ha ha ! This is so motivating and I take pleasure to make it sound noisy. Gonna make your ears rusted, drinking a fresh bloody mary I just made myself :p Well, good night everyone !

In less than 1000 visits, our myspace will reach 500 000 views. That's amazing !! Thank you for that ! It's a long and hard road that we follow, but this kind of details are really appreciated. PERSONAL ETHICS & DOWNLOAD
I won't blame people who are downloading. Simply, I got few mails to ask me where to download in a not legal way our music, or to give them a list of songs I've been composed these last years (cuz they "have some"... probably hacked unfinished/obsolete songs ha ha). Well, it gaves me the desire to speak about this subject here with you :) I want you to know that if some songs aren't on cd, it's for good reasons : I don't find em enough worked, mature, or it's obsolete ones, etc.. There are thousand reasons possible. That 's why I don't publish everything like I did before. An example ? I composed almost 15 songs this summer, but only 3 have been finally chosen to be played for our new shows. It's good to be productive, then you can choose best songs to play. Then, I won't advise you to download oldies / obsolete songs which have been hacked on myspace, cuz they're not representative of SIMPLYD4RK's music. Attempts are good to progress, but they're not considered as finished things ;) For our upcoming album, From the Grave, which will be available end 2009 / beginning 2010, I know we couldn't do anything against download, but I invite people to do the same than I do when I love the music of an artist : I buy his cd ! Cuz artists need this to survive and be able to produce new cds with a great sound, new videoclip, etc.. ;) It's a question of personal ethics, it's only up to you. We all downloaded a day, and so what ? It's a good way to improve our culture ! But sometimes it's great to help people who are worth it ! ;) And by the way, you can download for free my first (solo) E.P here : SIMPLYD4RK - VAMPIRE KISS (june 2007)

I think about making back a videoblog, like I began (and abandonned) last march... But this time, with english subtitles :)
Acid whispers, between full and emptyness, my heart gets rusted but never get ruined. Barbed-wire melodies, switches games with their attributed effects, I'm looking for alchemy with no reason. Contrasts fight and merge, here is my pleasure. Music, escape-purgatory, if only I could never leave this state of mind I have right now, composing again, a music which probably will only be the pleasure of a researches night. Things which doesn't last have a perfection taste that uncertainty makes spicy.

INSPIRATION. Blurred, like a TV without antenna, he stares the screen and let himself dive in. Distances lie you know, as my radio voice you even don't hear. Fingertips slip on the LCD, push on it, creating a coloured point of pressure. Distances lie you know, as eyes never reflect really the soul which rests behind. Tiredness has a taste of lead in my throat, but these sounds, these shapes, these colours, lighten it.
