2011. It's all about evolution.

SIMPLYD4RK is back as a solo project for 2011. This decision, even if I can imagine is brutal for you, has been peacefully taken with my zombies. Along years, SIMPLYD4RK has been first a solo project, then turned into a band, keeping the same will : to explore my inner world called Undead Rocsktrial, in a conceptual / visual / musical way. Such a project, linked to my own existence, includes necessarly several questioning, various attempts, and experiences. I've been through extraordinary moments and enjoyed to see my weird baby evolve, alone or alongside Scread and Nervz, from the first steps in my room to this awesome tour 2010, passing by a first E.P in 2007 (in free download here) and the first album (available on itunes, fnac.com, amazon.com, etc..) and a videoclip with Scread in 2009-2010.

However, with time, our wills and needs evolve. I have a visceral need get back to things closer the origins of the marrow of SIMPLYD4RK, to take my time to do things without always being in a hurry of "things that have to be done", to reintegrate this project as a part of my life, in the same way I draw, tattoo, sleep of eat. Concerning to Scread and Nervz, they recently felt the need to only focus on their band, Time For Energy (where Scread is singer / screamer), due to the fact they're actually recording its first E.P. I know how impossible it is to be focused at 333% on two projects at the same time, and then I fully understand them. Finally, it's actually quite the same motors that pushed us to take this decision.

Things to come. In january, Scread and Nervz will delete their different profiles related to Simplyd4rk (facebook / skyblog / myspace), but I'll give you their new contact for sure, and will keep you in touch with the progress of their band on my facebook ;) I really support their band and am proud of what they work for with :) Concerning to Simplyd4rk, lots of things gonna change, and the INFECTION P4CK that I will put online soon (INFORMATIONS ON MY FACEBOOK) will be the first stone of a new age for my project :) By the way, no acoustic ep finally, but I'm working on songs that will remind you Vampire Kiss (first version), a return to electronic sounds which will make born a single or E.P, to announce the sound of the album I'm working on actually. 2011 is all about evolution, so support SIMPLYD4RK and Time For Energy ;) By the way, this blog and globally simplyd4rk.com gonna be full updated. This blog gonna disappear to let place to a new version of simplyd4rk.com, fitting more to my idea of "global artistic project" that SIMPLYD4RK is. Stay Undead Rockstrial !

The Grave is this dark, dusty, and stony fantasy place, only illuminated by the light of computer screens where my visual and musical universe takes shape. A sanctuary where ghosts of the past are screaming together their story, joined by the sing of dysfunctional machines making some frightening noises. It is also our H.Q with Scread, where we work on final versions of our song.

IMAGINE THE GRAVE Congrats to Saphir V. for her amazing animated short clip ! We've been so amazed by the work she did for this contest ! She imagined the Grave as an impressive building and did a really cool work (+ a beautiful post prod book - check sketches below) ! I'd like to see another short clip showing the inside of it !!!! :D
